It was late in the afternoon. The blaring sun was finally cooling off. Enough so that the fan began to provide some relief, drying up the droplets of sweat that had been streaming down her face all day. She was tired from all the days' chores and was just about done with folding the last load of laundry. It sure would have been easier on me if I'd had some help at least in folding this laundry, Laura thought. She would have had a better chance at being struck by lightning five times in five seconds before getting help with anything in that household, much less folding laundry. And she knew it.
