Some words from her family...

To all of our friends, friends of our mother, and family, we want to share with you information about our beloved mother, Judy Candis.

As you know, she was called home to be with the Lord on Monday and although our burden is heavy, our responsibilities are even more so. With the numerous call we receive daily from our mothers friends and our own friends, we apologize if time does not permit us to return each and every phone call in a timely manner. Please know that you are in our hearts. Your prayers, wishes of condolences, and calls are so appreciated. We are committed to personally speaking to everyone in due time. But as we are sure you know, a day goes by so quickly and we rarely get to do all we intended. Please do not hold it against us. But this email will give information about the wake and funeral and our address. If you need more information do not hesitate to call. Please pass this info to everyone you think may have known our mother. We thank you for the support and the sincere LOVE!!

Love,
Amelia "Mia" * Tiffany "Tyrane"

Goodbye, Judy

Judy Candis, a Banyon Publishing member and Tampa Bay mystery writer, will be sorely missed. Her death at her home on Monday, September 18, 2006, marked the end of a lifelong writing pursuit. “Judy had a kind, benevolent spirit,” Betty Byers, a friend and fellow writer, said. “As one of the founders of the Nathari Writers Club, she was the glue that held us together.”

Judy’s love of her craft leaves us forever blessed. Her novels—Colorblind, Still Rage, Blood Offering, and All Things Hidden—personify her strong creative bent. Her ray of light will forever shine.

I did not know the lady but it is always sorrowful when a creative writer and author in the field gives so much pleasure in their story writings to others. She surly will be missed by all, and we as writers, publishers and authors have to encourage the school students of all ages and of our time to help carry on the tradition of creative writing, music, fairy tales, autobiographies and much more. May she be creative in heaven, my condolences to her family.
