> I am greatly saddened by the death of Cheryl Ann Porter, the consummate, gregarious artiste. Even though our paths crossed briefly here in Tampa in 2002 in her Hillsborough Community College classroom, her principles in the course, “How to Structure Your Story”, have remained foremost in my mind as I’ve published my own five-book collection.

Not only was she a living, local inspiration, she was pure dynamism in any setting, and she will be sorely missed. She was my shining star.

> My sincere condolences to Cheryl's family and those who loved and enjoyed her. Although I've never had the pleasure of making her acquaintance, I was well aware of her. Her passing is a great loss to the writing world and the many students who will not get the opportunity to benefit from her tutelage and inspiration. So long dear Lady.
Warm regards,
Jay Johnson, Banyon Publisher
